About Mara Petrovsky

Hi, I’m Mara Petrovsky.

I believe meaningful learning creates opportunities for people to grow, lead, and create change.

My work sits at the intersection of education and leadership development, shaped by experiences in student recruitment, teaching, and executive education. Today, as a Program Coordinator with Mastering Leadership Executive Education, I support leadership programs for professionals and organizations across a range of sectors. Through my work at Glendon College and Schulich Executive Education, I’ve seen that effective leadership development goes beyond building skills. It creates space for reflection, connection, and growth, while helping people turn learning into meaningful action.

My work has also taken me beyond Canada. While living in France, I taught English as a teaching assistant at a high school, deepening my appreciation for working across cultures and learning from different perspectives. The experience reinforced my belief that some of the most meaningful learning happens when we are willing to step outside our own perspectives.

I’m currently completing my Master of Education in Language, Culture and Teaching at York University, where my research interests include post-secondary education, international mobility, sustainability, and accessibility. I’m particularly interested in how institutions can create more inclusive and meaningful opportunities for learners.

My approach to leadership is grounded in curiosity, trust, purpose, and a willingness to keep learning. Outside of work and study, I enjoy reading across genres, playing piano, discovering live music, and playing soccer.
