About Deborah McKenzie

Hi, I’m Deborah McKenzie.

My work is rooted in a simple belief: leadership is for everyone. When people grow, organizations transform.

Leadership development is where my experience and passion come together. During my corporate career at IBM, I saw firsthand how strong leadership shapes culture, performance, and possibility. Teaching at Seneca College and York University, and later working with Schulich Executive Education, clarified what drives me most: helping professionals unlock their potential and supporting organizations in building environments where leadership can thrive.

Today, as a Senior Account Executive with Mastering Leadership Executive Education, I partner with organizations to design and deliver high-impact leadership development solutions. I’m known for quickly building trust with senior leaders and aligning business priorities with practical, impactful learning. I also bring experience helping clients secure grants and funding to support program budgets, enabling organizations to invest effectively in their people.

Leadership also matters to me beyond the workplace. I’ve served as a Board Member and Past President of the Toronto Chapter of the American Marketing Association and as a Fundraiser and Patient Champion for the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Practice-Based Research Initiative. Teaching marketing continues to reflect my commitment to developing current and future leaders.

A Toronto native, I recently relocated to Collingwood, where I’ve created a gathering place for my family. I’m actively involved in the community through fitness, local activities, and charitable initiatives—values that strongly influence how I lead, partner, and build relationships.
