The Thoughtful Leader Lab
The ThoughtfulLeader Lab is a space to pause, reflect, and experiment with your own growth.
Developed by Dr. Tatiana Astray, the Leadership Lab tools bring together science and lived experience. Rooted in behavioural research and refined through years of executive coaching and facilitation, they were designed to make self-awareness both attainable and transformative. The tools reflect insights drawn from Dr. Astray’s own leadership journey and her work with senior leaders across industries.
The assessments below are short, research-informed tools that invite you to explore the inner dimensions of leadership: how you think, connect, decide, and influence. In just 5–7 minutes, you’ll receive immediate, personalized insights to help you turn awareness into action.
All responses are confidential and used solely for learning and development purposes. Your personalized report is delivered instantly after entering your email.

Trust Self-Assessment
What it measures: Your Trust Score, and how trust is showing up across three levels: with those who lead you, with your peers, and with those you lead.
Why it matters: Trust is the foundation of influence, collaboration, and psychological safety. Seeing your score alongside the leader, peer, and employee view surfaces where your trust is strongest, where it is thinning, and the blind spots shaping how others experience you. -

Negotiationelf-Assessment
What it measures: Your negotiation profile at two levels: your individual approach and your team's operating pattern, across five factors each.
Why it matters: Strong negotiators do not just close deals, they build durable partnerships. Seeing your individual profile next to the team pattern shows where your discipline is holding, where the team dynamic is pulling against it, and which gap is costing you the most under pressure. -

Psychological Safety Self-Assessment
What it measures: How safe you feel to speak up, share ideas, and take risks in your professional environment.
Why it matters: Teams thrive when people feel safe to challenge ideas and admit mistakes. This assessment helps you understand the conditions that foster or limit trust and collaboration in your workplace. -

The Leadership Safety Archetypes
What it measures: Your instinctive leadership pattern under stress and the beliefs that shape how you lead in difficult environments.
Why it matters: When leadership feels risky, we often default to protective habits. Identifying your archetype helps you understand how pressure may amplify or distort your strengths—so you can lead with greater consistency and trustworthiness.

The Thoughtful Leader Letter
Join the Newsletter
What does it actually take to lead people well?
This newsletter is for leaders who want substance, not another list of tips. Dr. Tatiana Astray will share her own leadership practice here: the frameworks she actually use, the questions worth sitting with, and what she and MLX are learning along the way.
Twice a month, you will hear from me: the Letter at the start of the month, and the Takeaway after the live session.
The Letter, at the start of the month. One idea about how leaders build trust, hold hard conversations, and negotiate without losing themselves. Short, practical, and written to use the same week. It comes with an invitation to that month's Thoughtful Hour.
The Thoughtful Hour. Once a month we meet live for an hour. Dr. Tatiana Astray will share one framework, and we work through real situations people bring. Kept small so it stays a conversation.
The Takeaway, after the session. What came out of the Hour, names removed, along with the tips worth keeping.
First access to open enrolment programs. When something opens to the public, you hear about it first.
The Thoughtful Hour is drop-in. Come when the topic is useful, listen, or bring your own situation. No pressure, and no need to make every one.
